My P90X Results Before & After Picture

I’ve been working pretty hard to slim down and while I don’t look like I’m ready for the cover of Men’s Health, I do feel as though I’ve made some pretty significant strides. Have a look at my before/after and feel free to post some thoughts.

Here\'s a preview of My P90X Results

The Toadies are Back and Yes They Still Rock!

I remember when the Toadies hit the scene back in the early 90’s and what a great sound they had. Let’s be honest it’s still a great sound and I can pretty much rock out to anything from Rubberneck, especially this track; it’s acoustic so enjoy!

Some Grassroots Gorilla Marketing for MadeLoud.com

So we’re launching MadeLoud.com this weekend and I grabbed a couple of promo stickers from the office; it only seemed fitting to throw them on the Guitar Hero Guitar.

Weezer = Coolest Band Ever

So I’m a huge Weezer fan, even the stuff everyone seemed to hate, but I digress. They launched their new video last week and it’s a stab at all those crazy viral videos out there, have a look and enjoy!

My First 5K - The Katy Trail 5K - 8:49 Pace

So as some of you know I ran in my first every 5K yesterday, and it wasn’t as bad as I had expected. I’ve been running pretty regularly now on the trail, but generally at a little more leisurely pace so holding a 8:49 pace for the entire 3.2 miles felt pretty good. Here’s a recap of how I did and you can also get it from MyChipTime.com.

Passport Travelers sending me to Puerto Vallarta

We did it for the first time in years Kristen and I are taking an out of the country vacation without the boys; they’ll be fine hanging with grandma and pee-paw. One of my friends growing up, Neil Azucena, is now working as a Travel Agent in Houston and he was able to get us a great deal. We’ll be staying all-inclusive at the Royal Decameron Hotel in Puerto Vallarta from June 11th - June 16th and the total trip came in under $1800 with non-stop flights. While we love Garner State Park, getting out of the country this year will be a nice change.

This will probably be the first time I go without a shirt on a vacation in quite some time as the size of my shoulders is again larger than the size of my gut, thanks P90X. I’ll be reporting from our trip about the flight, conditions of the hotel, food, service and so on so be sure to check back in a few months.

History Lesson in Class for 18-1 Patriots

It’s official, the New York Giants officially have upset the New England Patriots and personally I couldn’t be happier. I have no affinity for either team, but it amazing to see the “only 1/2 the previous Super Bowl Winning Patriot Players could even make this team” get their just desserts. Vindication for Eli Manning is official and he steps out of his brothers shadow to show that he’s a true performer. The announcement hasn’t come yet but there’s no doubt in my mind that he’ll be the 2008 Super Bowl XLII MVP.

Then you’ve got Bill Belichick proving one again that he has no class, running off the field before their loss is official. If for no other reason than that I continue to despise the Patriots. So let me be the first to say congratulations Plaxico, Michael and Eli; you’ve done what no other team could do this year and prevented a perfect season for the Pats.

Here’s to the 1972 Dolphins you’re still the only undefeated team in NFL History.

Finally Well - P90X Phase 2 Restart

So I’m supposed to be starting week 3 of the 2nd Phase of P90X, but unfortunately my sinus infection hit me pretty hard. So hard in fact, that it gave me an upper respiratory infection that lasted about another week. I completed week one of phase 2, but every night I’d start running a fever and then go to work all the while continuing to work out. I started into week 2 and couldn’t even get through the full chest, shoulders and triceps workout and those are my favorite areas to work. As a result, I decided to take the entire week off to fully recover and since I went on/off I’ll go ahead and restart the entire phase. I’m pretty excited about the entire thing as I feel great and am in better shape than I’ve been in 10 years. If your thinking about starting the program all I can say is do it; you’ll hate it, but you’ll love it.

Original Hardcore EMO

So yesterday I called our page creator Nick, “Hardcore EMO” and today I got a little laugh when one of our designers, Alice, sent over this stunning picture of Adolph Hitler.

recently posted some great pictures from this year's interactive section at SXSW 2008. Have a look clearly it wasn't all a learning experience.

Finally took over the #1 Spot on Google for Chris Sloan

It took just under a year, but I've finally assumed the #1 spot on Google for my name Chris Sloan. Not that it has any real importance as I'm sure there's only about 10 searches per year for my name, but every visitor counts.

To the Ballpark that is. Yesterday was officially Conner's 3rd birthday and we went with some friends to the Silver Boot Series between the Houston Astros and the Texas Rangers. I've gone to at least one game here in the series every year and as I recall it's always been the Friday night game which the Astros lost; that tradition didn't change last night as the Rangers routed the Astros 11-3. The best part was that the boys had a great time, fireworks went off throughout the night as the Rangers kept racking them up against the poor Stros pitchers.
